Better Blood Flow for a Better Life

What is EECP Therapy?

Enhanced External Counter Pulsation (EECP) is a noninvasive technique used to treat ischemic heart disease. It is an FDA-approved outpatient therapy for chronic stable angina. It uses pressure on the lower limbs to improve blood flow in people with long-term symptoms of heart disease, such as chest pain and pressure.

Widely regarded as a safe and effective method to increase blood flow, EECP Therapy can aid in improving quality of life, cardiovascular efficiency and daily physical activity. EECP provides most of the same benefits as angioplasty, stents and bypass without the associated risks.

Life Changing Benefits!

Improved Lifestyle

The Premier Vascular EECP Therapy enables those who suffer from symptoms of heart disease to reduce or eliminate many of painful impacts on their daily activities. Treatment has proven helpful in eliminating or alleviating the following conditions: chest pain (angina), cough, fatigue, shortness of breath (dyspnea), and others.

Reduced Cardiovascular Risk

Research studies indicate that this non-invasive treatment provides long term health benefits including a stronger heart and blood vessels as well as enhanced circulation. Patients report fewer and less frequent symptoms of angina, increased energy, the ability to be active or exercise without symptoms, and a reduced need for medication.

Trusted Effective & Proven Technology

EECP Therapy results have been clinically proven in more than 300 published studies to date. Hundreds of thousands of people worldwide have received this nonsurgical treatment focused on relieving heart disease symptoms that can’t be controlled by medicine or treated with surgery.

How does EECP Therapy work?

EECP treatment applies pressure to blood vessels in your lower limbs. The pressure increases blood flow back to your heart, so your heart works better. When your heart pumps better, symptoms ease.

This type of therapy can also stimulate the formation of new collateral pathways (new blood vessels with the heart muscle that supply oxygen-rich blood to the previously ‘blood-starved’ areas of the heart that were caused by blockages in the native blood vessels). These pathways eventually become “natural bypass” vessels that help relieve symptoms of angina if your coronary arteries are narrowed or blocked.

The patient experience

During Premier Vascular EECP therapy, you relax, watch tv, listen to audio books/music, or nap on a padded table while air fills the cuffs around your lower limbs. You’ll feel the cuffs grow tighter around your legs and bottom until they reach full treatment pressure. An electrocardiograph (EKG) and blood pressure monitors synchronize inflation and deflation with your heartbeat. The cuffs inflate as soon as your heart rests, increasing blood supply to the arteries that deliver blood to your heart. Then they quickly deflate to make it easier for your heart to pump again.

Once you get used to the sensation, therapy should be comfortable. It shouldn’t cause pain or discomfort. You can return to your regular daily routine right after treatment.

EECP treatments are administered daily (Monday through Friday) lasting one hour each for 7 continuous weeks (for a total of 35 treatments).
